3M Japan

Be Friendly was one of a dozen or so artists and design firms asked by Japanese agency B2Engine to produce artwork for the 3M pop up store on the main road of the super, super, super swanky Omotesando area of Tokyo.

The artwork had to work at iPhone, iPad, notebook and bicycle frame sizes. A team of ‘meisters’ (you’ll have to ask someone else what that is supposed to mean) expertly applied the film to customers’ gadgets – thereby highlighting the brilliance of the 3M product. They took their job very seriously those meisters. They never get bubbles stuck in the film. NEVER EVER.
